Vote No On C-53 operates a text messaging program for supporters of the campaign in Pierce County, Washington. When you opt in, you will receive the following types of SMS messages from us:

• Campaign updates and news about the Vote No On C-53 campaign
• Event announcements and invitations
• Volunteer opportunities and calls to action
• Election reminders, including voter registration deadlines, ballot information, and Election Day reminders
• A one-time confirmation message when you sign up, and account-related notifications such as opt-out confirmations

You opt in to the SMS program by entering your mobile phone number in the signup form at votenoc53.org and checking the SMS consent checkbox, which constitutes your express written consent to receive recurring campaign text messages from Vote No On C-53 at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of receiving any goods or services. Message frequency varies and may increase as Election Day approaches.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text message. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent to your number. If you wish to rejoin, you can sign up again at votenoc53.org.

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by and payable to your mobile carrier according to your mobile plan. Vote No On C-53 does not charge for the messages themselves.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and network availability.

You must be 18 years of age or older to use this SMS service. By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile phone number you provided.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information, including your mobile phone number, is described in our Privacy Policy, available at https://votenoc53.org/legal. As stated there, no mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes; information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted.

The content of the Site is provided for informational and advocacy purposes related to the Vote No On C-53 campaign. We may update these Terms of Service from time to time; the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and your continued use of the Site or the SMS program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
